For this vibrant new-build penthouse in Cabanas de Tavira, I was given complete creative freedom by my American clients. Their only request: it should feel like home, yet be suitable for holiday rentals.

The apartment features two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite), a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area, and a large balcony on the main level. Upstairs, a generous rooftop terrace offers panoramic views over Cabanas and the Atlantic Ocean — complete with a lounge corner, built-in BBQ, and jacuzzi for the ultimate Algarve lifestyle.

I designed the interior with a warm, Mediterranean-inspired colour palette: olive green and ochre tones in the living room; a calm, taupe master bedroom; and a lavender second bedroom inspired by the blooming jacaranda tree just outside the window.

This project blends rental-ready functionality with personal comfort, resulting in a space that’s both relaxed and refined.
